Practice, Practice, Practice

Golf often appears to be a lot simpler than it actually is to an amateur. Many players believe they can go out and shoot a round at par because they think that each of their shots will go as predicted. Because of this belief, many golfers struggle to take the time necessary to practice and prepare themselves to succeed on the course consistently.

“If you don’t succeed at first, don’t despair. Remember, it takes time to
learn to play golf; most players spend their entire lifetime finding out
about the game before they give up.” -Stephen Baker

This quote accurately sums up just how important it is to practice and gain an understanding of the game. With golf training aids like outdoor putting greens, golf driving range mats, and golf pitching mats, this practice will be possible. Of course, the most difficult thing about practice is being motivated to properly practice. If you can achieve this in practice, your game certainly will improve and become more consistent.
